"James Flint - 2nd son of John, born in North Reading 5-13-1749 and died July 4-1808.
Farmer and lived in Bridgton Me., to which place he removed in 1776. A descendant says of him that "he moved to Bridgton when it was a wilderness, there being but three or foour families resideing there at the time. From all I can learn in relation to him, he seems to have been a man of sound common sense, and highly respected by his townsmen. He took an acive part in the affairs of the town for many years - being one of the Selectman, having charge of the pubic mills, attending to the roards, and doing buisiness for the proprietors, etc. In religious sentiment he was strongly and throuughly a Calvinisitc.
Married June 18, 1776 Ziba (daughter of Nathaniel Flint and Hepizbah (Woodward) Flint "
